1. How do I use Course Helper?
In its present phase, you can use Course Helper to find the following information between two institutions:
A. Pre-requisite courses that lead to baccalaureate level English writing
B. Pre-requisite courses that lead to baccalaureate level mathematics.
C. Courses that are comparable between community colleges, community colleges and four year public and private institutions within a state and community colleges, community colleges and four year public and private institutions between states.
D. Courses that are articulated between community colleges, community colleges and four year public and private institutions within a state and community colleges, community colleges and four year public and private institutions between states.
2. Are pre-baccalaureate level courses comparable?
Courses are compared by:

Pre-baccalaureate level courses may compare between two colleges. When two colleges are compared, what is shown are pre-requisite courses that lead up to baccalaureate level English and math at each institution selected.

3. What criteria are used to compare courses?
A. CAN now C-ID common course descriptor information
B. Using multiple institution databases that compare the same course among each other
C. Common course numbering databases i.e Florida, Texas, Oregon, Connecticut
D. Matching titles
4. How are course comparisons maintained and updated?
A. Articulated courses are maintained by the receiving campus
B. Comparable courses are updated every four years or when information about a change in course name number title or content is presented to Course Helper.
5. What is a course comparison vs. course articulation?

It is up to the receiving institution to decide how they may accept a comparable course, where as an articulated course between two institutions will be accepted in lieu of the other.
